Ironline Command

Ironline Command strips strategy down to what fits on a touchscreen. You manage a handful of units, three resource types, and a map small enough to see at a glance. Every skirmish wraps in under ten minutes.

What makes it click is the counter system. Each unit beats something and loses to something else, so matches become little puzzles of reading your opponent's composition and adapting.

The campaign ramps nicely, teaching one idea at a time. We'd have liked more maps, but the ones here reward replaying with different openings.
