About
Keelbox Play started as a group chat where four friends kept arguing about which mobile RPG was actually worth the storage space. At some point we figured the notes we were trading were useful enough to put online, so here we are.
We're independent. Nobody on the team gets paid by a studio to say nice things, and when a game disappoints us we say so plainly. That's the whole point of the site.
Every game we cover gets real playtime, not a five-minute trailer skim. For an RPG that usually means reaching mid-game, testing the progression curve, and seeing whether the story holds up once the tutorial glow fades.
We pick titles based on what readers ask about and what catches our attention in the stores. Genre matters less than whether the thing is fun to hold in your hands on a train.
