Adventure
Deepwood Wanderer
★★★★★ 4.5
Deepwood Wanderer is quieter than most mobile games. You explore a shifting forest, sketch your own map, and piece together what happened to the people who lived there through notes and ruins.
There's no combat to speak of. Progress comes from paying attention: a symbol you saw an hour ago suddenly matters, and that moment of recognition is the whole hook.
It won't suit everyone, but if you like slow games with a mood, this one lingers. We finished it over three evenings and kept thinking about the ending.
What we liked
